Haruki Murakami’s new book is epic.
The story of Tengo & Aomame played out over three brilliant novels. It patiently takes it time to wrap itself around you; a creeping novel full of desire, passion and surreal fantasy. The attention to detail allows you to immerse yourself deep in the story, at points you'll feel so close to the movements of characters you'll feel as though you're watching them from across the room. Whilst the book reaches a satisfying climax, there is so much more we want to find out about the world and the characters Murakami has created. He has hinted at a 4th book or a prequel, so fingers crossed... but in the meantime you can get started with Books 1 and 2
This is my book of the year, and well worth the wait.
